Until february 08, I was marketing director of Blyth Valley Ltd, the specialist online business insurance broker.

As one of the company’s founding directors, I was responsible for the strategy and implementation of all the Blyth Valley’s marketing activity (directly controlling a Google spend, for example, of around £25K per month), CRM, email marketing and PR. I helped the business grow into one of the leading providers in its field employing over 25 people in Ipswich.

Blyth Valley is regulated by the FSA, and as such director’s responsibilities (in terms of compliance, treating customers fairly etc) are onerous.

I left Blyth Valley at the beginning of 2008 to focus on my other work interest which include a delightfully weird array of projects.
